Issey Miyake

Issey Miyake was born in Hiroshima in 1938 and founded his Tokyo-based fashion company, Issey Miyake Inc., in 1970. The fragrance house revolutionised perfumery with L'Eau d'Issey (1992) — one of the first major aquatic-floral fragrances, created by perfumer Jacques Cavallier, it set the template for an entire generation of fresh scents. The portfolio also includes L'Eau d'Issey Pour Homme, the smoky Nuit d'Issey, and the luminous A Scent.
