The opening is complex and immediately luxurious. Nutmeg, cardamom, and caraway land first — warm, slightly spiced, with a crisp citrus lift from lime, mandarin, and grapefruit. There's an unusual depth to it from the first spray. This doesn't smell like anything you've worn before.

The heart opens into a dense floral core — iris and heliotrope carrying the lead, powdery and rich, with jasmine, rose, and lily-of-the-valley filling the space around them. Ylang-ylang adds a honeyed undertone that gives the florals weight without sweetness. This is where No 1 earns its reputation. It smells like refinement made physical.
