Yves Saint Laurent Y Le Parfum Decant
Y Le Parfum is the more intense, oriental-fougere expression of YSL's Y line, created by Dominique Ropion and Claire Liégent and launched in 2021. It takes the fresh, ginger-forward Y EDP and deepens it with warmer spice and resin, aimed at anyone wanting more presence and longevity from the Y signature. This is a hand filled, 100% authentic fragrance decant from Fragrance ADDX, poured in Adelaide from a genuine YSL bottle.
Experience
The opening is grapefruit, apple accord, ginger, and aldehydes — bright and slightly fizzy, immediately recognisable as part of the Y family.
The heart brings sage, lavender essence, and geranium absolute — an aromatic, herbal development that gives Y Le Parfum its confident, masculine backbone.
The drydown is cedar, olibanum, tonka, and patchouli essence — warm, resinous, and long-lasting, a clear step up in richness from the original Y EDP. 8+ hours of wear is typical, with strong initial projection.
Key Notes
- Top: Grapefruit, apple accord, ginger, aldehydes
- Heart: Sage, lavender essence, geranium absolute
- Base: Cedar, olibanum, tonka, patchouli essence
How Does Le Parfum Compare to Y EDP?
The Y EDP (2018) is fresher and more everyday-friendly. Le Parfum takes the same ginger-ambery DNA and adds resinous depth and tonka warmth, making it the community's recommended pick for evening wear and cooler months.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it last on skin?
8+ hours, with the cedar-olibanum-tonka base carrying well into the evening.
Is this stronger than the regular Y EDP?
Yes — Le Parfum is the richer, more concentrated, more projecting version of the Y line.
How does the decant compare to a full bottle?
Identical. Same juice, same batch, same performance. Just in a smaller, sharper glass sprayer. You're paying for the fragrance, not the box.
